Strengthening Yorkville Through a Business Improvement District (BID)

Over the past three years, the Yorkville Alliance Steering Committee—made up of local residents, property owners, and tenants—has worked closely with the City to identify the services and improvements most needed in the Yorkville neighborhood of the Upper East Side.

Based on this community-driven effort, we are proposing the Yorkville Alliance Business Improvement District (BID) and ask for your support by completing and returning a ballot with a YES vote.

Who We Are

The Yorkville Alliance BID Formation Effort is a community-driven initiative led by a broad coalition of residents, commercial property owners, tenants, and neighborhood advocates.

Together, we are working to establish a Business Improvement District along the vibrant East 86th Street corridor and surrounding blocks to enhance sanitation, public safety, horticulture, and overall neighborhood beautification. These improvements are designed to benefit everyone who lives, works, and visits the area while helping create a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming Yorkville. The effort includes members of established neighborhood organizations such as Carnegie Hill Neighbors and is supported by the New York City Department of Small Business Services (SBS).

We’re excited about what we can accomplish together as a united neighborhood community and about the opportunity to make the East 80s one of New York City’s most vibrant and well-cared-for neighborhoods.
